Kaizen is a Lean Manufacturing methodology aimed to continuous improvement of processes. Kaizen is conducted through events with direct participation of multidisciplinary teams that seek to identify the opportunities to optimize the productivity and quality of processes. Some of the various benefits that can be generated by Kaizen are the equipment availability increase, production cycle reduction, physical space gain, in-process inventory reduction, production capacity gain, product quality improvement and cost reduction.
The objective of the workshop is teaching and practical application of Kaizen concepts learned.
Concepts and applications of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing;
The seven categories of wastes (Muda);
Relationship of Kaizen with 5S, TPM e SMED (Quick Changeover);
Practical exercises: Study on current situation, brainstorming and action plan;
Practical implementation and measuring results.
Managers, supervisors and main workers of the involved areas with process improvements such as Production, Quality, Process Engineering and Maintenance.
