Problem Solving and Analysis Methodology

TRAINING DESCRIPTION:

The objective of problem solving and analysis methodology is solving problems through teamwork.

OBJECTIVES:

The participants will understand the methodology usage necessity, which will enable them to comprehend the advantages of managing and act on common cause and special cause issues.

PROGRAM CONTENTS:

  • Relationships between values and trends, quality, common causes and special causes,
  • PDCA;
  • Problem Identification: Trend Chart, Paynter Chart and Definition
  • Preliminary Operation;
  • Note: stratification and prioritization tools (Pareto), data collection (checklists), Process Map and Operational Definition Review;
  • Analysis: tools for root cause analysis, such as Fishbone Diagram, “Brainstorming”, Histogram and Scatter Plot;
  • Definition of an Action Plan presenting the 5W2H concepts;
  • Action;
  • Verification;
  • Standardization: visual management and mistake-proof methods;
  • Conclusion.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Engineers and technicians from Manufacturing, Quality and Product engineering; Production supervisors and leaders; Administrative areas wanting to use problem solving and analysis methodology.
